News for today:

  • [Menlo Security] A better MARS today. Menlo Security added new capabilities to its agent runtime security offering, e.g., prompt injection stripping, hidden instruction removal, file sanitisation. Autonomous agents and coding agents run on the endpoint or in the cloud, and they reach the web and files through MARS (Menlo Agent Runtime Security). MARS runs that web activity in the Menlo Cloud and cleans the pages and files, including downloads and uploads, before the agent sees them, so an agent only ever acts on a sanitized version of what it requested. This prevents attacks rather than detecting them after the damage. Menlo Security

Salt Security released a managed ruleset for securing APIs and the AI agents that drive them for the AWS WAF; provides protection within minutes for AWS WAF customers from the behavioral dynamics of APIs and AI agents. By bringing Salt’s API and agentic security intelligence directly into an AWS WAF as managed rules, we’re giving every AWS customer an easy way to deploy these new rules in minutes, so organizations can immediately see and stop the API and AI agent threats that legacy rules were never built to catch.
