News for today:

  • [Rubrik] Rubrik + Wipro. Rubrik and Wipro launched an as-a-service offering around resilience – with Rubrik supplying the core platform tech and Wipro the consulting services (and some tech). ERaaS is built on Rubrik’s unified cyber and data resilience platform, offering capabilities such as immutable protection, rollback of AI-driven changes, rapid identification of clean recovery points and threat-aware recovery. The platform also supports the protection of critical identity systems, enabling organisations to recover data, infrastructure and identities with greater confidence while minimising downtime and business risk. • [Sectigo] Scaling certificate automation. Sectigo released its Orchestration Gateway for automating certificate activities across environments (multi-vendor infrastructure, endpoints). SOG enables a single, automated certificate workflow that runs across every server, cloud, and edge platform in an organization’s environment under centralized policy. Instead of managing separate virtual machines, high-availability setups, and maintenance cycles for each integration, teams can now automate certificate workflows across their technology stack. The result is simpler operations and a stronger foundation for crypto agility as post-quantum standards evolve. Sectigo
  • [Material Security] What an attacker inherits on day 1. Material Security looks at the inventory of sensitive data, corporate IP, and banking details an attacker gets when they gain access to a Google Workspace environment, as part of their exploration of what’s not addressed by Google’s new Beyond Zero framework. The data we found was not created by a breach. It was created by three years of normal enterprise operations. It was there before any attacker arrived, and it would still be there after any authorization framework was implemented. Beyond Zero will make future access decisions better. Knowing what is already in the environment is what makes those decisions meaningful. You cannot protect what you have not measured. Material Security
  • [VerifyLabs] Deepfake detector for the newsroom. VerifyLabs outlines why newsrooms need deepfake detectors – because images or audio of an event are no longer proof it happened. Deepfake detection …. stops the fabrication going out — and, just as importantly, it lets us stand behind real material under pressure with forensic analysis rather than wounded institutional insistence. In a world where denial costs nothing, being able to prove authenticity isn’t a defensive expense. It’s editorial firepower, and it protects our own people. VerifyLabs
