Darktrace GA’d its SECURE AI offering, enabling enterprise customers to gain visibility, context, governance, and response capabilities over AI adoption / deployments / use. Darktrace / SECURE AI is part of the Darktrace Behavioral Defense Platform. - [Optiv] Not keeping up. New research from Optiv finds that modern threats are overwhelming the methods and technologies of security operations teams; the research advocates for embracing a modern SOC to cope. SOC teams are contending with a growing volume of security alerts and incidents. More than half (52%) of respondents report that alert and incident volumes have either significantly increased (23%) or increased (29%), with SOCs managing an average of 2,566 alerts and incidents each day. Despite this mounting workload, organizations continue to investigate more than one-third (36%) of alerts and incidents through manual processes rather than automated workflows. Optiv
- [LastPass] AI adoption outpacing visibility and control. New research from LastPass documents a by-now-familiar-finding: AI adoption is happening faster than organizations are maturing their visibility and control capabilities. According to the LastPass 2026 State of AI and SaaS Security Report, 92% of business admins say AI is already in use across their organization, but only 27% have an enforced AI governance program. LastPass found that 42% of business admins say they have no technical controls at all for managing employee access to AI tools (no allow lists, block lists, or data loss prevention (DLP) rules covering AI traffic). 68% of business admins told LastPass that employees entering sensitive data into AI is their biggest concern, yet their confidence in identifying and addressing that risk sits at 2.5 when rated out of 5.
