News for today:

  • [SentinelOne] More clouds. SentinelOne expanded its Wayfinder Threat Hunting service to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The new Wayfinder Threat Hunting for Cloud gives customers a single, continuous hunting capability across their full environment, giving defenders a decisive operating advantage as their cloud infrastructure spans endpoints, human and agent identities, and the cloud. It provides continuous, expert-led hunting across AWS, Azure, and GCP control-plane activity, with coverage spanning cloud control-plane abuse, IAM privilege escalation, and unauthorized access, and data exfiltration. • [Darktrace] Launching Signal Labs. Darktrace launched a new research group to focus on understanding emerging risks of enterprise AI agents. Researchers in Darktrace Signal Labs will investigate misaligned model and agent behavior across a range of scenarios, including task drift, jailbreaks, and other adversarial attacks inside safe, sandboxed environments to better understand scenarios that trigger rogue or anomalous behavior and demonstrate how Darktrace / SECURE AI and the Darktrace Behavioral Defense Platform can detect and respond. The new group published its first two pieces of research, too. Darktrace
  • [Abnormal AI] An Abnormal-ly Suite deal. Abnormal AI added new capabilities to its AI Security Suite – comprised of AI Governance, AI Cloud Security, AI Employee Guardrails, AI Agent Security, and AI Security Workbench. The challenge is no longer just whether AI is being used. [Security teams] need to understand which AI tools and agents are operating in their environment, who or what has access to sensitive systems and data, whether that activity is consistent with expected behavior, and how to respond when it is not. Abnormal’s AI Security suite is designed to address those challenges through a unified platform powered by behavioral AI. AI Governance is GA today; the others are coming in 4Q. Abnormal AI
  • [BIO-key] Passkey:YOU. BIO-key announced that its Passkey:YOU authenticator achieved full certification from the FIDO Alliance. Passkey:YOU is built for the people and places where [not every user carries a smartphone or a physical token] — secure facilities where phones aren’t allowed, air-gapped networks, shared workstations, manufacturing floors, call centers, retail counters, and healthcare settings. Because the Passkey:YOU authentication hardware lives at the workstation rather than in every employee’s pocket, one Passkey:YOU client can serve any number of roving or device-restricted workers. • [Cloud Range] AI Validation Range and AI Readiness Framework. Cloud Range launched a couple of new environments for training, testing, and validating AI models and agents. Cloud Range’s AI Validation Range is a safe and contained testing environment that enables organizations to securely and effectively red team and train AI models and agents in realistic SOC environments, uncover failure modes and access risks, and benchmark performance alongside human defenders. Teams can also test which security roles and responsibilities are best suited for AI, which require human judgment and oversight, and where a combination of the two delivers the strongest results.
